In this presentation from the 2024 Europe Virtual User Group, Typefi Product Manager, Guy van der Kolk, provides an early look at product releases that are coming very soon.
First, Guy talks about the release of Adobe InDesign 2025. While the desktop version of InDesign 2025 is available as of 14 October 2024, Adobe InDesign Server 2025 is not available yet at the time of writing. Typefi uses InDesign Server to publish documents, so Guy recommends that Typefi users delay upgrading to InDesign 2025 until InDesign Server 2025 is available.
Next, Guy discusses some important changes to our HTML plug-in. This plug-in has been totally rewritten in order to enable better HTML export from Typefi. Once released, you’ll be able to export much cleaner HTML from Typefi with proper hierarchy. This update will also make it easier for our team to improve the plug-in in the future and will simplify customisation work for your Typefi solution.
Finally, Guy dives into Advanced Engine, a new way to use Typefi that enables you to make small changes to your documents using Typefi without re-running them in full. With Advanced Engine, you’ll be able to update individual images and small sections of text without altering the rest of your document. Check out the end of the presentation video for a demo of this feature.
